Trivia

  • The title of this episode is a reference to the Grease song, You're the One That I Want.
  • Mr. Zimbaldi makes his third appearance, since the episode ParticipANTs.
  • This is the fourth time someone rapped on the show.
  • Chyna breaks the fourth wall when she is talking to Olive and stops to talk to the crowd while facing the audience.
  • Lexi's idea is a reference to The Lion King as it is called the "Lexi King".
  • Lexi doesn't seem to get over the fact that Chyna got the lead in the school play.
  • This episode is like the continuation of the second episode of the serise (ParticipANT).
  • They didn't do the play Hairspray, like they said they were going to do in the second episode of the series (ParticipANT).
  • This is the first time that we see Olive playing an instrument.
  • Fletcher hugged Chyna which was considered a major Flyna moment.
  • This is the first episode, that is unknown how many views it has received.

Goofs

  • In TransplANTed, it was mentioned that the next musical was Hairspray, not Grease.
  • Chyna said they've been rehearsing the play all year which means that school only has one play a year. However, in TransplANTed, Lexi said she's been in all three school musicals which would imply that she's been in the school for three years, yet she's only a 10th grader. However she could have stayed back two years.
  • It is unlikely that they would redo a musical, because Lexi mentions that she starred in Grease in TransplANTed.
  • In the Ancient Greece play, Chyna plays Aphrodite, who gets married to Zeus. Although in Greek Mythology, Aphrodite was Zeus' daughter, not his wife.

Memorable Quotes

Chyna: Given it's the annual musical, I was thinking it might be good if it maybe had some music in it. Olive: I guess I could add a killer acoustic pan pipe solo in the 20 minute ode to Poseidon.
