Exceptional is the theme song for the Disney Channel series A.N.T. Farm. It is performed by China Anne McClain and played during the opening sequence of the show. It was written by Toby Gad, Lindy Robbins, China Anne McClain, Lauryn McClain and Sierra McClain.

Background and Release

The full version of the song is available on the A.N.T. Farm Soundtrack. The opening credits for the show did not change for the second season, however new footage was shot and recorded for the show's third and final season. All seasons had a MutANT Farm episode that featured Halloween style sound effects put into the opening sequence.

Music Video

Throughout the intro, Chyna is singing, as well as playing the electric guitar and drums.

The intro begins with Chyna scatting, after which she, Olive, Fletcher, Lexi and Cameron hold up an iPad-like device showing pictures of their talents. Chyna playing the violin and french horn, Olive holding a large book and winning a spelling bee, Fletcher with his paintings, Lexi with her fashion pageants, and Cameron with his various projects. At the end, Fletcher, Chyna, and Olive hold up three of the iPad like devices with "A.N.T." spelled across them.

Trivia

• Unlike most Disney theme songs, Exceptional doesn't contain any clips from the series.
• Sierra and Lauryn McClain, China's sisters, sang back-up for China in this song.
• For season 3 the same song is used, but the credits are changed to match the contents of the new season.
• The show used a Halloween styled opening credits for MUTANT Farm 1 and 2, which was still using the opening credits from season one, but with more Halloween effects and spooky background vocals for the theme song.
• In the premiere Season 3 episode, Lexi rewrote the lyrics, and performed it for her Z-Tech audition.
